Based upon the book by Mack Cameron, this scripted historical fiction series delves into the dramatic underworld of illegal Southern bootlegging. Set in Prohibition-era Mississippi, it follows the story of Nick Gable as he works to establish and run a major bootlegging operation in the southern United States. As a trusted associate of Al Capone, Nick rises to the level of a southern “kingpin” while struggling against Federal law enforcement agents, battles with rival gangsters, and, ultimately, his own conflicting sense of right and wrong.
Although the main characters in The Bluffs of Devil’s Swamp are entirely fictional, the overall story is based in historic fact and includes many notable personalities, including Al Capone, Bugs Moran, Babe Ruth and more.
